I was born and raised in Pittsburg, Kansas where my great grandma Belle taught me how to crochet at the age of six. Since then I have loved to learn everything about arts and crafts. Although, nothing compares to the passion I have when it comes to quilting.

In 2005, I was asked to make a "picture quilt" for a Mother's Day gift. After that one was complete, another request came for a Memorial quilt....  and this is when my love for design took over. For years my friends and family suggested that I start designing my own patterns. At the time, I felt they were telling me to do this because they love me and are bias. It took me a couple of years to figure out they were serious, so I became serious myself.

I will never forget how nervous I was when I was driving my first pattern to a quilt shop, in fear they would reject the quilt. Although, I have been in sales for many years now - if they did not like my quilt this would become very personal. But the fact is, they loved it and immediately put the patterns in their shop. I can not even begin to explain to you the emotions that overwhelmed me and the feeling of knowing this is what I wanted to do. I can tell you with certainty, there is no other feeling in the world when you are watching someone elses expressions when they are viewing your work for the first time. I could not get home fast enough to start my next design.

"Unseen Hands" is a name I chose a long time ago for the name of my business. Ironically, the name truly fits this adventure I am taking. It feels like I am being guided by Unseen Hands every day that I move closer to my goals.
How blessed am I...
